Gregory Lewis - Brisbane 2014

I spent half a day waking along the north and south river banks near the CBD with my N75 and a few rolls of Ektar 100. Lenses were a Sigma 24-105mm and Nikon 70-200mm.

The river scenery is outstanding and well worth a visit. The city centre is less impressive - a noisy maze of high-rise apartments and office blocks towering above far too many roads. There are vestiges of parkland, an occasional Morton Bay fig tree and small corners of grass which are all that remain of the original parks.

King George Square is tranquil enough, though surrounded by a bizarre mix of architectural styles. The imposing town hall gives an indication of how the city used to appear before the developers moved in.
